Book Delivery Service to Your Desktop

In order to meet your needs better, to save your time, and maximize the use of Library books, I am pleased to announce a new Library service – the Book Delivery Service. This new service will enable each full-time academic staff to establish a profile of their research and teaching interest in our Library system, and automatically receive emails of new materials which arrive irrespective of whether you have ordered them.  You then merely mark in the return mail the item of interest to you, input your name and staff ID number, for delivery to your department mail stop on the campus during regular office hours. Academic equivalent administrative staff are also eligible for this service.

All you need to do is to set up preferred searches in the Library Homepage under MyRecord (steps available at http://www.lib.polyu.edu.hk/bkdelivery/preferred_searches.html). Weekly email alerts will  inform you of new Library materials matching your searches and you can request for available books to be delivered to your department on campus.

Details on rules and procedures are available at the User Guide http://www.lib.polyu.edu.hk/book_delivery

If you need assistance, please feel free to contact your Faculty / Schools Librarian or call the Information Desk at 2766-6863.
