“Conducting legal research on the Lexis HK Database” was held for PolyU students and staff by Mr Timothy Ho, who is the Training Specialist of LexisNexis, on 21 Feb 2017. The workshop attracted users from different departments such as ABCT, APSS, BRE, CBS and FB to join for enriching their information literacy skills in researching legal resources.

The Lexis HK Database contains various law collections like Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong, major commentaries, Laws of Hong Kong and the Annotated Ordinances of Hong Kong.  It is a very useful resource for legal research for different disciplines. During the workshop, users not only learnt how to locate the Hong Kong law cases, but also able to acquire skills to make use of case analysis tool effectively by search commands.
